Birthright

Recently I went on a birthright trip to Israel. I took a lot of nice recordings over there and am going to be putting them up in batches over the coming days or maybe all in one shot right now because I have a cold and nobody will see Avatar with me. A lot of what you might hear on these will be inside jokes, but it might just be nice to hear foreign people speaking English, water in motion, or rocks beneath feet. To those of you who were on my trip and are going to be listening to these clips, I hope they serve as reminders of an amazing experience and as accompaniment to whatever pictures you might have. Why am I writing this as if people I don’t send the link to are actually visiting?

[Note: most of these clips are unedited]
[Note: I still can’t find anybody to see Avatar with me so I’m putting all of the clips up right now]

Ping...Pong...

Here is pretty much an entire game of ping pong played between a father and son. The father comes out victorious. Some nice sounds. Also some nice sounds of me running up stairs and shutting a door near the beginning... and chit-chat coming from up those stairs.

Tanners Falls

This past weekend, some friends and I went to Pennsylvania for a little weekend getaway. This is a recording of a place called Tanners Falls, which I guess is self-explanatory. In the background, you can hear someone talking about a pretty gruesome event that took place about twenty years ago.

Additionally, from here on I'll try to make sure to tell you how long these clips are... that is, until I can find audio-hosting that does it automatically.

Forest City and Boogie Boarder at Union Pool

In keeping with the friendly theme of this young blog, I've decided to post some tracks from some friends' bands recent live show together. The first is Forest City, a rollickingly fun country band with more balls than a Spalding factory. You can say the same about the second band, Boogie Boarder, 'cept replace country with some sort of demented adjective that reminds you of spazzing out the second before a nervous breakdown.

Forest City - Smoke that Bummin' Weed

Boogie Boarder - Song title unknown but hey, it's a staple
